Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, at Puy-deDomme, France on the 9th of August 1976. She is the oldest child in a family of four. Her parents encouraged her parents, dentist and teacher who both taught her to follow her love of the theatre. This contrasted her earlier ambition to become a primateologist because she adored monkeys. She rose to prominence as a child actress quickly and achieved enormous achievement. Her career began in earnest in 1999, after which she began acting professionally. After her studies, Tautou participated in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, went to church in her youth and was educated Catholic. She is now separating herself from the Catholic tradition. In addition to her acting career, she pursued a modelling career. Also, she is the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. She also has a serious interest in photography and recently exhibited her work at the Arles Festival under the title Superficial. Her photography largely focuses on the spotlight and celebrities and turns the camera on the journalists who scrutinised her when she exploded to stardom in the film Amelie in addition to several self-portraits. Audrey Tautou became a star and gained international recognition with her role debut as Amelie Poulain in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a box-office international hit, receiving accolades at award ceremonies around the world. The film is still the most successful French film on the market in US. After this film's success, Tautou appeared in a wide range of films from British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
