Patricia Ann Garner, the mother of Patricia Ann, taught at the local college. To follow in the footsteps of her father she earned a degree in chemical engineering. She moved into New York in order to fulfill her ambitions as an actor. The Broadway role was accompanied by a stint at a local establishment. Her first major role was the widely-praised romance 13 Going on 30. In it she played the young woman trapped within a 30+ year old's body.
